In 2017, the Tipsy Robot opened, and its robotic arms now serve beverages instead of human bartenders. These robotic arms can quickly and efficiently prepare a wide variety of cocktails, and they even provide some light entertainment by dancing while they work. Customers can place special orders or diverge from the menu and the robot will still be able to efficiently prepare their drink in accordance with the parameters it has been given. This adaptability is what makes AI developments so valuable; it also exemplifies how flexible robotics may be and what their future potential may entail.


How Do I Proceed?

It’s evident that we may very well see a lot more robots behind the bar in the next years, with the Tipsy Robot serving as a model, and Bar2-D2 and the Wine Bot offering their services. Although they are novel and exciting at the moment, they may soon become the rule rather than the exception.
